LES MISERABLES ESSAY

  Something that makes a dynamic character is all the painful things they have gone through. Sometimes they just change because it just has to happen, they have to adapt to the situations they might be in. In les miserables a dynamic character would be Jean Valjean. He is a character that has suffered a lot. In the past he went through a lot of stuff that some people may understand and others may not. Just for stealing a loaf of bread he ended up in jail for 19 years. In prison, he was treated poorly. He wasn't paid fairly and they stood his money. Nothing was fair.
  The things he had experienced in prison changed him, before he went to prison he was a name that would work for things. He took a responsibility that his sisters husband couldn't handle. He worked to bring food on the table table for him and his sisters six kids. But still he didn't bring enough money to support the family.  He stood that piece of bread because he was starving and so were his sisters kids. After he left to prison he knew nothing of this sisters kids or her.  And when he got out of prison he was treating to find a job and a place to sleep. He had money and a yellow piece of paper that said he was an extremely dangerous man. He knocked in every door of every house in the village of digne.
  When he was staying at the bishops he had thought of why the bishop was like this.. why was he so nice to Jean Valjean. In the middle of the night Jean Valjean  stole the silver that the bishop had in his room. The silver sets. The bishop forgave jean valjean, but Jean Valjean was confused of why would the bishop forgive him when he stole from him, and he even gave him the silver part where they put the candles.
    After he took forty sous from a little kid. Something come to his mind, he started looking for the little kid. He wanted to give the little kids money back and ask for his forgiveness. He wanted forgiveness and he wanted to become a better different person. He wanted to be that honorable man that he was before going through all the hardships that he was undergone through. All the pain he had endure, he wanted all of that gone all the bad memories."I'm such a miserable man!" Was what he had cried out. After not finding the little kid. After not finding the little kid he said to himself that he would aspired to become a better person in the future. After what had just happened every day he would pray. People would see a  man praying near the bishops house.

WHAT'S LOVE HAVE TO DO WITH IT ?

When making something with love people will appreciate what you are making. This is because you are making an effort to make something for someone else. Making food for someone with love is adding meaning to what you are making.

LEARNING ALONE & TOGETHER

When I am learning alone I don't understand well the parts that I read. This is why I like studying with others, because they help me understand more and they give me more ideas that I can come up with alone. I also try to give my ideas so they can improve them.

MY MEMORY OF READING

From what I recall about the book, before we went to Thanksgiving break, is how the author introduces us to Jean Valjean but he still doesn't tell us anything about his background. Except for the fact that he was in prison for nineteen years.

LES MIS TODAY

The similarities of modern america and old France would be that they both had poverty and government issues. The people didn't like the government. They still stereotype people and label them as they see them. An example of this is Jean Valjean because
the people labeled him as a man that is wicked and a criminal. Now they label us as they see us when they meet us.
